Booking a hair color appointment can be daunting. There are so many options, what do you choose? What’s the difference between a full and a partial? What should I book? How much will it cost? How do you know you’ve selected the right thing? When should I book? How does all of this even work?!
The best way to know is to ask a pro (hey, that’s me!) I know exactly how frustrating it can be to wait weeks until your hair appointment, only to find out there wont be enough time for you to get the hair of your dreams. This guide will help you make the right decision and walk you thru the steps of where and how to book your appointment, too!
What should you book?
I’ve broken down all of my color services into 3 main categories: mini, maintenance, and major. This eliminates all of the terminology that goes along with hair appointments. These color services are ALL INCLUSIVE. That means we will do whatever we need to in order to get your closer to your hair goal! No need to book a partial, full, toner, balayage, shadow root, smudge, base break, or babylight. It’s my job to know what to do, not yours! And while I will explain what steps we need to take to get your where you want to go the day of your appointment, there’s no reason to over complicate the booking process!
Here’s the breakdown:
Mini services are great for small, subtle changes, like a few foil around the hairline, or a toner to correct brassiness.
Maintenance services are just that, for maintaining your current color and touching up roots whether you’re blonde or brunette.
Major services are reserved for big changes. Color corrections, major blonding, and going significantly lighter or darker all over the head.
Choose what service you need based on how much love your hair needs!
Do you like your current color and still have a perfect blend, but need a little brightness around the face? You need a mini!
Do you like your blonde, but have some dark roots growing in? You need a maintenance service!
Do you need some major hair help or want a big transformation? Major service it is!
From there, I just need to know if we are doing a haircut or not. Easy!
When browsing services on my website, they are broken up into these categories and you can choose your own adventure depending on what you’re looking for…OR based on your budget!
What’s your budget?
Budget is really important when it comes to booking your hair appointment. The larger the service, the longer it will take, and time is money! Bigger service = higher price.
Want to keep your service under $100! A mini highlight can go a long way!
Need a touch-up but don’t have $200 in the bank? A maintenance service is right around $100 and will do the trick!
Have some savings and ready for a big change? A major service is definitely in your budget then!
How far out do you need to book?
Now that you know WHAT to book and HOW MUCH you’ll be spending, WHEN do you need to schedule your appointment?
The answer to that is tricky… it depends.
If you are only available nights and weekends, you can expect to wait about 4-6 weeks before I’ll be able to get you in. I know that seems like a long time to wait (and girl, I know– when you want your hair done, you want it NOW) but mights and weekends are a hot commodity at the salon. You’ll need to do a little planning if those are the only times that work for you!
The good news is that if you have any daytime flexibility, you can usually snag a spot within a few weeks! My morning and early afternoon appointments stay open longer and are great if you have a day off during the week or get off work/ out of school early!
Keep in mind that my schedule is ever-changing as clients move and reschedule around their agendas too! If anything opens up before your original appointment, I can always keep you posted!
How do I book an appointment?
Booking an appointment is so easy and you can do so right from your computer or phone! Visit the booking tab on my website, or click here and simply choose the service you are looking for, select a date a time that works for you, input your information, and you’re all set!
The site notifies me when you book an appointment and I will either approve it and book it in, or deny it, let you know why, and provide you with some alternative options!
What if I still need help?
Never fear! Because I do all of my own booking, you can leave me a note right on the booking form with any questions you might have! We can always talk thru what to book and how much to budget for. That’s the beauty of booking directly thru me, we get to have a mini chat before you even visit the salon! Never hesitate to reach out with questions, I’m always here for you if you need me!
